About Alternative Medical Choices

Alternative Medical Choices, Inc. (AMC) is a Portland, Oregon-based company that provides patients an opportunity to consult with a physician about the legal medicinal use of cannabis (marijuana). 

AMC will provide a service for patients whose doctors can’t or won’t recommend cannabis for medicinal use. Your medical privacy is important to us as we understand that not all elements of society are comfortable with medical marijuana use.

The Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) has issued new rules allowing anyone to register for a medical marijuana card, even if they do not live in Oregon. Those patients, however, still must receive a recommendation from an Oregon doctor to qualify for their Oregon card. AMC can help these out-of-state patients.

AMC is diligent about protecting patients and doctors by obeying strictly the Oregon Medical Marijuana Act. We are not a "script mill"; we are a medical clinic whose foremost concern is the health of our patients.

AMC works regularly with the OMMP to ensure compliance with rules. However, AMC does not engage in political advocacy outside of medical marijuana.
